The winter weather was cruel, but the ambiance, the peace of chugging along the canal at 3 miles per hour allowed us the most relaxing winter break. I was so relaxed, the thought of starting work after New Year was daunting. Karen and David are our kind of hosts, attentive, kind, knowledgeable and friendly, The cooking was gourmet, thank you David! I can only imagine how beautiful it must be cruising the canal in summer, though the weather allowed us and our friends to talk in a cosy atmosphere. I had the best New Year ever. Arriving tired and stressed we left in a state of peace and are restored to return to work with new energy. Karen and David are caring and kind hosts. Although our journey was in winter with storms and rain accompanying the gently moving canal boat, we loved the landscape, the silhouettes of the trees and the peaceful atmosphere. Combine a beautiful vessel with lavish accommodation, including a large private cabin with en-suite restroom, five star meals and hosts that make you feel like family, along with one of the most beautiful canals in England, and you have a perfect formula for complete relaxation and enjoyment! Whether hiking on towpaths, taking a turn at the tiller or exploring a quaint English village, our days were filled with pleasant memories that will remain with us always. By the end of the week David and Karen became valued friends. We will highly recommend this adventure to all our friends and family. |

The food was creative and healthy, the salon is spacious and comfortable and my room exceeded my expectations. I thought I would be in a closet of a room but I never felt cramped. I think it would be fun to organise a group to fill the boat for a private cruise. |
