Our New Home
Following launch of the Wessex Rose near Braunston on 1st May and a week or so of moving in and preparation, we set off on our journey South. During the rest of May we made our way down the Grand Union Canal, joined the Thames at Brentford and cruised along to Reading where we arrived at the eastern end of our new home, the Kennet and Avon canal as May turned to June.
Since then we have travelled the length of the canal as far as Bath and back again to Newbury and met many friendly people among boaters, towpath users and other K&A traders. We have also carried our first guests who have all been lovely to have on board and have departed happy leaving us excellent feedback.
For the past two weeks we have been fortunate to enjoy some wonderful weather making the Wessex Rose and the Kennet & Avon the perfect place to be. The days are long, the scenery and nature are at their best and relaxation whilst watching the world go by is the order of the day.
Bookings are doing well with September being very popular. However there are still vacancies in both August and September for anyone interested in a totally unique experience.
