Downstream, we visit the 12^th Century market town of Henley on Thames famous for hosting the world’s greatest rowing regatta and at the easternmost reach of our cruise, Kingston-upon-Thames is an attractive vibrant Surrey market town a stone’s throw from central London. Along the Thames, a number of historic buildings overlook the river including Bisham Abbey at Marlow, Clivedon House at Maidenhead and Mapledurham House near Purley as well two of the Thames’ most famous landmarks, Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace. Stopover visit days are included at Windsor and Hampton allowing guests ample time to visit these attractions. For the avid walker, the Thames Path follows the river along the entire length of the cruise, so cruisers wishing to experience part of the route from the shore can stretch their legs between stops without losing sight of the boat. In all, our 90 mile route through Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey offers something for everyone to see and explore, encompassing numerous elegant and appealing riverside towns, attractive riverside properties and gardens extending to the riverbank, and extended stretches of breath taking scenery..
