Wessex Rose Hotel Boat Spring News
Our 2018 season is well and truly underway and we have now completed eleven cruises, the most recent of which was our first visit of the year to the fabulous Bristol Harbour where guests were delighted to have the opportunity to visit the magnificent SS Great Britain and the recently opened Brunel museum.
We still have a lot of interesting cruises ahead of us this season including four new routes for 2018 on the Grand Union Canal as well as our usual popular routes on the Kennet and Avon Canal and River Thames.
Our guests so far this year have been a mixture of new and returning UK and International travellers and it has been a great pleasure welcoming them all aboard the Wessex Rose. It’s always a delight to meet and get to know our new guests and to catch up with guests who have cruised with us before.
We were especially delighted to welcome back our most frequent visitors, Lynn and Fran, who joined us early in May for their 10th cruise with us. They tell us the Wessex Rose feels like their second home and they’ve already booked to come again twice more this year and three times next year!
It has also been our pleasure to host two 70th birthday celebrations on board so far this year and we still have a number of landmark birthdays and anniversaries to help guests celebrate during the season. Plenty of opportunities for Champagne, chocolates and birthday cake!
Our cruise schedule for this year is almost full with just a few cabins available in October and 2019 is filling up steadily. There is still availability on a variety of cruises next year so if you’re considering a canal or river cruise during 2019 or have cruised with us before and fancy trying a different route why not take a look at our 2019 schedule
